Issuance of passport of the Republic of Slovenia

Filling an application

Application for passport may be filed either at an administrative unit in Slovenia or at a diplomatic-consular representation of the Republic of Slovenia abroad. Citizens must apply in person. 


Validity of passport

For the citizen younger than 3 years, the passport is issued with the validity of 3 years. For the citizen of age from 3 to 18 years, the validity of passport lasts for 5 years. Citizens, who reached age of majority, can obtain passport with the validity of 10 years.

 

Fees for passport issuance

For the passport issuance the following fees apply:

- 115 EUR for passport with the validity of 10 years – for all persons of age of majority

- 76 EUR for passport with the validity of 5 years – for persons of age from 3 to 8 years

- 57 EUR for passport with the validity of 3 years – for persons of age under 3 years of age

- 47 EUR for passport with the validity of 1 year – in case of loss of passport more than one time 


Please note, that the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Tokyo only accepts payments in JPY. Due to the fluctuation of currencies, the fees vary. For a calculation of a fee on a particular day, we kindly ask you to refer to the Consular section at consular.tokyo(at)gov.si

 

Required documents for issuance of the passport


• Filled in application (please, ask the Consular section for the application form at consular.tokyo(at)gov.si).


• Old Slovenian passport.


• Recent photograph (size: 3,5 cm x 4,5 cm).


• Filled in form for stating a change of your permanent or temporary address abroad (please, ask the Consular section for the application form at consular.tokyo(at)gov.si).
